Christmas Day
Christmas Day was so fun! I enjoyed the family all of us together and I do mean ALL! We ate enough food for days and had so much fun playing Family Feud, the Christmas Story game, and True Reason for the Season game oh yes the the Crumpcinary ya we made up our game. I did enjoy when my eleven year opened her present and it was her Ipod Nano that she begged for and wanted nothing else but that. Of course you know I had to make it hard by first making her give away half of her old stuff in her room, then open every present but that one and pretended that there where not anymore gifts and pulled the Ipod out last. I felt like mother of the year once I seen that smile on her face when she opened that box.

Mother/Daughter Day
Yesterday Sierra and I just enjoyed a girls day! We run from work to school to extra activities that having a day with just the two of us is almost impossible especially since my house is the hang out for her and her friends and family which I do not mind. It was nice just us doing our own thing and not being on a time schedule just truly enjoying the day off on Monday. I am slowly finishing up my Christmas shopping not real big on buying all that stuff especially my own because I want to teach her it is much more about giving than receiving. I have to cherish these moments because she is 11 so soon she will be on her own way and doing her own things. I thank the Lord daily for my family and showing favor on us.

SNOW DAY!
An official SNOW DAY so much fun! It was so beautiful watching that snow falling and seeing the kids playing, throwing snowball, making snowmen, and snow angels. Leave it to my daughter and her cousins to make a beautiful heart with their grandmothers name in it right behind her house how beautiful memory! The kids at the school stayed playing in the snow most of the day how fun!
Now work was crazy with everyone calling to see if we were getting out early and most not liking that we released at normal time but that didn't stop us from enjoying our snow day.
Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Day was so fun for our family. We spent time with my mom always fun, then spending time with all our family was a joy and a blessing. Everyone who knows us knows our family dinner had tons of people over 50and our flag football game was so funny to watch along with our lovely cheerleaders on the sideline! We even had a section for our fans. You know we know how to go all out only us thats what happens when your in the country you have plenty of room for a football game. Now of course the trees in the middle of the field didn't even stop them except for one person who didn't remember the tree was there when he was trying to catch the ball. (Good Laugh). You know we couldn't just end with Thursday so Friday we decided to have a Fish Fry with women only (of course the kids) at my cousins it was fun with the four different generations just enjoying ourselves with my grandmother and the kids having fun.

Baskeball Season
Ok here we go its Baskeball Season once again! Practice start November 30th I though I was getting a break since Sierra has been all into Volleyball going to camps, etc. noway she is ready for B-ball so I guess we will be well rounded when it comes to sports. Last year to do little league basketball she is very excited though to be able to try out in Junior High next year. Plus one of her best friends who is in 7th grade made the team so will be going to some of those games also, ya I am so crazy!
AB Honor Roll
We are back to making the AB Honor Roll we had a rough 1st six weeks with the Math but it she is getting it and realizing that Middle School is a new ball game from Elementary. I think it sunk in that she would be pulled out of honors choir if she did not pass so the C from the first six week wasn't good enough. Then I had to deal with the drama of her first "C" she was upset for days but hey she knew what she had to do to get that grade up.

6th Grade!
Man 6th grade is coming along! Although I promise I do not remember all this homework. Sierra is in all AP classes so her Math class is 7th grade this semester and 8th next semester can we say scary! Sierra tried out for the Honor Choir and made it out of 60 kids and with that they get to sing with the Junior and High School choir at concerts. Everything else is coming along and she is very much enjoying herself. If we make it through Math we will be ok!

FOOTBALL SEASON
Its that time of the year again my favorite time of the year which is FOOTBALL SEASON! We are Lamar Mustang proud since my baby girl is a "Colt" and will one day be a Mustang. Anyone who knows my family knows it doesn't matter the team as long as we are at a Football game on Friday nights. Got love it!!!!
Labor Day Weekend
Enjoying the weekend. Seriously just relaxing! Sierra and I had a girls day Saturday we went and got our hair and nails done. Then Sunday went to Huntsville spent time with my mom, and brother it was nice. Ran into some friends that I have not seen since I left Huntsville although I try to stay in touch as much as I can with everyone I am getting behind. If it wasn't for face book I would be in so much trouble trying to keep up with everyone. I am going to try to keep up with my blog because I was slacking on this too!
Saying for the week:
God First
Family Second
My time some where in between
and everything and everyone else will fall in line
Remember to "Trust the Lord with all thine heart... and he shall direct your path"
Back to School
Were do I start we are officially back in school although I never really had a break and I am feeling it now. This summer was crazy at work with getting two new schools open and the rezoning meetings it has been crazy!!! I am enjoying my job though, there is never a dull moment. Well my baby girl is in Middle School Wessendorff MS (LCISD) I am so proud of her! Sierra has all AP classes along with being in Choir this semester and Theater Arts next semester, she is in the Science Academy (only the top 30 students out of the entire school) and had auditions for the Choir Academy which she did get accepted. Man no rest! Time has gone by too fast my baby girl is now eleven (August 26th) and the 6th grade. I was kind of worry at first Middle School is a hold new ball game so I just pray we stay on top of things but so far so good the homework is killing me man I see the Math homework and I know we will be hiring a tutor by next school year. I am very proud of her though.

Summer goes by so fast it is already July my goodness. I have really just been taking day by day and catching up on home projects running into old friends, going out to dinner with old friends and just on my own time. Having Fridays off has spoiled me I am going to have a hard time in August when it is time to get things back to normal schedule.

LOST BUT SHALL OVERCOME BY GOD'S GRACE
Today is a tough day for my family. My daughter's grandmother passed away this morning. We will truly miss her with all our hearts but we will treasure the wonderful memories we will have of her. I am glad to ever have the chance of meeting a person like her and I will never forget many things I learned from her as a woman and a mother and just as a person. I am glad my child had as much time as she had with her teaching her how to cook tortilla (homemade), etc. and working on her spanish. Of course anyone who knows Sierra knows how much time she spent with Ms. Palacios. We know she was hurting and as much as we loved her we know God loved her more and it was time for his child to come home to him. I know he never gives you more than you can bare so we will make it and time heals wounds. We will go on but we will never forget such a wonderful person as Petra Palacios.

EASTER DAY
Thank the Lord for this day he has risen! Easter Day was wonderful. My mom came down for the weekend which is always nice. We went to church with my grandmother and afterwards went to my grandmothers for our family feast. If anyone knows our family you know we had more food than ever and we of course had to fight over my grandmother's sock-it-to-me cake but she made two this year so we were all ok. Thank goodness the rain came while we were in the church service so by the time we got home the sun was ok and it ended up being a very pretty day. It is just nice to get together and just enjoy our family. I am very thankful for the family I have!

VOLLEYBALL SEASON
Ok so we are now playing Volleyball which I do not know where that idea came from but Sierra is enjoying it so far they have only had two games. The first day was a bust they were horrible but the second weekend they did wonderful they won the first two games 25-21;25-22 then tied the third game so they are improving as the weeks go on. She has a couple of girls from Orchard and Wallis on her team which we all know that is VOLLEYBALL COUNTRY they are good. So as soon as I take some pics I will post. I will keep you updated on the season.
Boss Banquet
I am enjoying my new job it keeps me busy and the day goes by so fast but I am having a blast! This was my department Community Relations at our Supervisors Banquet with Dr. Randle Superintendent of Schools for Lamar CISD.

EXPLORE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS
The students at Seguin Elementary had a chance to attend the University of Texas along with seeing the Capital of Texas this past weekend. The kids had a blast. This trip was put together to encourage these students to continue their education after graduation. This school is 95% minority and we have to continue to encourage our children to reach beyond. This is a life experience that they will never forget!
Wessendorff Parent Meeting
We had our 6th Grade Parent Meeting at Wessendorff Middle School and Sierra picked her two electives for next year. MY GIRL IS GOING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! 6th Grade ALREADY!!! My little 3lbs baby who could fit in the palm of my hand and looked like a little rat who is now taller than me I thank the Lord daily.
End of Basketball Season
Basketball Season has come to an end but Sierra's team the "Bulls" had a wonderful season they were 7-1 and the jury is still out on the 1 lose which they lost by 1 point! The last game was one of the best games of the season and they won by 2 points. Cheers for Ms. Defensive player of the year!!!

Science Olympics
Sierra competed in the LCISD Science Olympics this past weekend at Terry High School and she enjoyed herself so much. I know she truly walked away with a strong appreciation and view of Science. WAY TO SEGIUN ELEM.!!! (Yes my child stays very busy if its like this in elementary I hate to see high school, pray for me!)
32nd Birthday Party!
Where do I even begin with this party. We had lots of fun as you would expect with my family. Anyways I had a day by myself running around and getting my nails and stuff done, I even took time to get a makeover (thanks Whitney!) then went shopping at dress barn (thanks Shea and Trish) by the way I got an entire outfit, we are talking about pants, shirt, earring, necklace and purse on that $50.00 gift card and only going over by $2.00 boy can I shop! Back to my day, then my Aunt Joyce cooked my favorite Mexican food, a cake with strawberries! Making me hungry all over again!Would you know it we had no pictures, I was too cute for not one picture! We had Karoke night with our favorite TV theme songs. It was very nice and I am very thankful to have a wonderful family like mine. I enjoyed myself although all month when someone asked what I wanted to do for my birthday I said be left alone but they know me I can not stay at home! Of course I can not forget the wonderful Math department who took me out to eat for my birthday/going away party on Friday for lunch it was wonderful and I enjoyed it.

New Job
I have accepted a new position with Lamar Consolidated ISD in Rosenberg in the Community Relations Department. I am very excited! I will be about ten minutes from home and will not have to deal with Hwy. 59 Traffic!!!!! Although the freeway construction is almost complete. I promise I am staying here until it is time for me to retire.
I am truly grateful though for the opportunity I had in Fort Bend ISD we have a great team and I could not ask for better supervisors than the two I had in FBISD its like we just feel right into place with each other along with all our staff. I will truly miss my Curriculum family! I have been very bless in the past couple of positions I have been in to have wonderful supervisors so I do count my blessings!

Basketball Season
Basketball season has arrived! Sierra is playing basketball for Upward at Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg and so far they have a pretty good team. They started practice first week in December and continued to practice during the Christmas holidays. Sierra's team is made up of 5th and 6th graders, boys and girls and these kids are so tall. Ya, Ya I know I am short so it is not hard for half the team to be taller than me actually my own child is a little pass my shoulders at 10 years old (which is scary) but these kids are tall and so serious and dedicated to the game. This will be her second year playing and she is really enjoying it. The team this year is alot different than the team she played on last year so she has gone from being a leader and almost the tallest to about the second to the shortest on team and having to learn new positions which is really great I rather her be a well rounded player not just playing one position for three years. So far I am very impressed! They won this past weekends game, GO BULLS!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Time has traveled so fast it is hard to believe that 2009 is already here! 2008 is definitely a year I will remember and a year that will definitely be in our History books between the economy, hurricane Ike, and our first black president. We enjoyed our New Years Eve, of course some of our family got together for dinner, and fireworks! Then I went to “Watch Meeting” at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church. I so much enjoyed the singing by their praise choir, and women choir, the Christmas skit the youth department performed, and an outstanding Christian hip-hop group “Soulfruit” their style of singing was refreshing to hear. I loved how they had something for every age group to keep you entertained and continually praising the Lord until 2009 rolled in.
CHRISTMAS DAY-"CRUMP STYLE"
Our family had a wonderful Christmas we spent the day with our family. I am very thankful to have a family like ours which I realize is becoming very existent a large family that gets together with all the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, all the time also to have a Grandmother “The Mother of the Family” still alive and full of energy. This Christmas gave us time also to reflect and look over 2008 and to realize how bless we are for what we do have no matter how little it maybe. We know first hand how the Lord took care of my Aunt Bobbie who the day after Thanksgiving had a massive heart attack. This was the first Christmas in years we were missing someone from our gathering but we rejoiced just knowing she was at home recovering well. We did have lots of Christmas day fun first having my mother here in town to spoil Sierra was wonderful, then going to my Uncle Jerry and Aunt Kathy’s house eating until we were about to burst, playing games, watching the kids open Christmas gifts, to the CRUMP’S Flag Football Game that was hilarious! Also having the Sherrod’s back in town (My cousin’s who moved to Florida who have now moved back), Ya!! We honestly did so much over the Christmas break it was so unbelievable I needed a break from the break. I do wish I would have taken pictures that Monday before Christmas when all the kids were out of school when my Aunt Kathy and I had a total of 8 kids “The Crump Daycare” It was fun though! As everyone at work knows I talk about my family all the time and I actually enjoy my family and thankful that we are close and I would not have it any other way.
