I have accepted a new position with Lamar Consolidated ISD in Rosenberg in the Community Relations Department. I am very excited! I will be about ten minutes from home and will not have to deal with Hwy. 59 Traffic!!!!! Although the freeway construction is almost complete. I promise I am staying here until it is time for me to retire.
I am truly grateful though for the opportunity I had in Fort Bend ISD we have a great team and I could not ask for better supervisors than the two I had in FBISD its like we just feel right into place with each other along with all our staff. I will truly miss my Curriculum family! I have been very bless in the past couple of positions I have been in to have wonderful supervisors so I do count my blessings!

Basketball Season
Basketball season has arrived! Sierra is playing basketball for Upward at Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg and so far they have a pretty good team. They started practice first week in December and continued to practice during the Christmas holidays. Sierra's team is made up of 5th and 6th graders, boys and girls and these kids are so tall. Ya, Ya I know I am short so it is not hard for half the team to be taller than me actually my own child is a little pass my shoulders at 10 years old (which is scary) but these kids are tall and so serious and dedicated to the game. This will be her second year playing and she is really enjoying it. The team this year is alot different than the team she played on last year so she has gone from being a leader and almost the tallest to about the second to the shortest on team and having to learn new positions which is really great I rather her be a well rounded player not just playing one position for three years. So far I am very impressed! They won this past weekends game, GO BULLS!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Time has traveled so fast it is hard to believe that 2009 is already here! 2008 is definitely a year I will remember and a year that will definitely be in our History books between the economy, hurricane Ike, and our first black president. We enjoyed our New Years Eve, of course some of our family got together for dinner, and fireworks! Then I went to “Watch Meeting” at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church. I so much enjoyed the singing by their praise choir, and women choir, the Christmas skit the youth department performed, and an outstanding Christian hip-hop group “Soulfruit” their style of singing was refreshing to hear. I loved how they had something for every age group to keep you entertained and continually praising the Lord until 2009 rolled in.
CHRISTMAS DAY-"CRUMP STYLE"
Our family had a wonderful Christmas we spent the day with our family. I am very thankful to have a family like ours which I realize is becoming very existent a large family that gets together with all the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, all the time also to have a Grandmother “The Mother of the Family” still alive and full of energy. This Christmas gave us time also to reflect and look over 2008 and to realize how bless we are for what we do have no matter how little it maybe. We know first hand how the Lord took care of my Aunt Bobbie who the day after Thanksgiving had a massive heart attack. This was the first Christmas in years we were missing someone from our gathering but we rejoiced just knowing she was at home recovering well. We did have lots of Christmas day fun first having my mother here in town to spoil Sierra was wonderful, then going to my Uncle Jerry and Aunt Kathy’s house eating until we were about to burst, playing games, watching the kids open Christmas gifts, to the CRUMP’S Flag Football Game that was hilarious! Also having the Sherrod’s back in town (My cousin’s who moved to Florida who have now moved back), Ya!! We honestly did so much over the Christmas break it was so unbelievable I needed a break from the break. I do wish I would have taken pictures that Monday before Christmas when all the kids were out of school when my Aunt Kathy and I had a total of 8 kids “The Crump Daycare” It was fun though! As everyone at work knows I talk about my family all the time and I actually enjoy my family and thankful that we are close and I would not have it any other way.
