So I receive a Christmas list from my 12 year old who requested a digital camera, clothes, money and a new cell phone (old one only about 9 months old). Well she did get the clothes, money and digital camera so all the pictures that is posted on the blog starting with Christmas Day was taken by her my photographer. My Tween! Oh by the way she ended up with a new cell phone anyways not my doing.

Well we made it through the first semester of Junior High!!! As always has kept me busy but I am proud of my girl we had few stumbles but that is what life is about and I rather her learn them now then later on in life. Junior High is not what it use to be and being a parent of a tween is a hold another job but we are making it through.

I can not believe the end of the year is just around the corner.

Pictures

More pictures...

Month of March

Me Chilling

Sierra and Ayana (Her little Sister)

Sierra and Kelle back from the 6th grade dance

Sierra and Gloria

Finally got a picture that is not from sports or school

This month of March has flown by way too fast...
*Basketball season has come to an end the last game was Sierra best game with 11 points this was her last year to play UpWard Basketball for Calvary Baptist Church since they end with 6th grade but she hopes to try out and make the team next year in Junior High.

*So enjoyed Spring Break a true week of relaxation. Enjoyed the time with one of my friends Nisha and her family it felt like old times when Sierra and I used to come visit at least once a week we truly had a girls day out.

*Houston Rodeo 2010 with Mary J. Blige my goodness that concert was fabulous and I actually remembered the words to most of the songs brought back memories from high school it was so nice.
*Volleyball Season has officially started so far Sierra's team is 1-1 Go Stings!

*Sierra picked her schedule for next school year two more months and my baby will be in Junior High School.

*Sierra Alexus-Nichole Palacios was baptized Sunday March 28, 2010

I am so proud of her for taking that step in her life and getting to a point where she realized you have to have God in your life and accepting him as your savior for yourself. It makes you feel like I am doing a good job and my prayer are being answered because parenting you continue to stay prayerful and at this point in her life I am staying on my knees even more. There is so much out in the world to distract our children and after spending time at an Alternative School seeing first hand I just tend to be open and believe in keeping the line of communication open at all time there should be nothing you are too afraid of to talk to with your children.

February

Time is flying by February is almost gone...
*Enjoyed my 33rd birthday with my family
*Sierra's basketball team got to go to the Houston Rockets game (they actually won). After the game they got a chance to meet the players and shot free throws. Experience of a life time!
*Sierra had her first school dance Valentine Weekend...I do not remember having a dance in 6th grade...it was so funny dropping her and her friends off and picking them up it was like they had really gone out on a Saturday night it was too funny.
*Sierra picked her classes for next year-Junior High 7th grade man time is flying by. Of course she is trying so hard for me to let her go to the new school Reading JH and George Ranch HS because she knows working for the district I could let her go to any school with in the district but she might as well let that one go she will just have to be Mustang and not a Longhorn.
*Sierra also joined church and will be baptized next month I am so proud of her to get to a point where she realize how important her spiritual relationship is in her life. I am proud of her!
*Volleyball starts in March so I will keep you updated on that

We have survived February good thing it is a short month.

January

January is flying by... Today chilled with my family my cousin was baptized at Mt. Carmel in Richmond I am so proud of her for realizing that God is the center of your life, the head and you can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens you!!!!
Basketball is keeping us busy but I am so proud of my baby girl she goes out every game and gives her best and that is all I can ask. First game lost by two points and her foul helped them win and then this weekend it was a tie game no overtime but hey this is little league.
Work is work I am earning my keep with opening this new high school and junior high I am enjoying this though.

2009 in Review

2009 in Review... I thank the Lord for having favor on my family! Trust in the lord with all thy heart and lean not to your own understanding and that has been my 2009 Goal. I thank the Lord for in
January placing me in a wonderful job that I love and the financial blessing that came along with it and let not forget along my 32nd Birthday.
April our family lost a wonderful women that we still miss dearly Mrs. Petra Palacios
May my baby finished Elementary School
August my baby started middle school, turned 11 (I officially have a tween). Every year we remember Sierra twin sister who is in heaven with our dear lord Destiny Kiara Palacios.
November/December-Enjoyed my family
I am so thankful for the blessings from above and I give him the total PRAISE!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so fun! I enjoyed the family all of us together and I do mean ALL! We ate enough food for days and had so much fun playing Family Feud, the Christmas Story game, and True Reason for the Season game oh yes the the Crumpcinary ya we made up our game. I did enjoy when my eleven year opened her present and it was her Ipod Nano that she begged for and wanted nothing else but that. Of course you know I had to make it hard by first making her give away half of her old stuff in her room, then open every present but that one and pretended that there where not anymore gifts and pulled the Ipod out last. I felt like mother of the year once I seen that smile on her face when she opened that box.

Mother/Daughter Day

Yesterday Sierra and I just enjoyed a girls day! We run from work to school to extra activities that having a day with just the two of us is almost impossible especially since my house is the hang out for her and her friends and family which I do not mind. It was nice just us doing our own thing and not being on a time schedule just truly enjoying the day off on Monday. I am slowly finishing up my Christmas shopping not real big on buying all that stuff especially my own because I want to teach her it is much more about giving than receiving. I have to cherish these moments because she is 11 so soon she will be on her own way and doing her own things. I thank the Lord daily for my family and showing favor on us.

SNOW DAY!

An official SNOW DAY so much fun! It was so beautiful watching that snow falling and seeing the kids playing, throwing snowball, making snowmen, and snow angels. Leave it to my daughter and her cousins to make a beautiful heart with their grandmothers name in it right behind her house how beautiful memory! The kids at the school stayed playing in the snow most of the day how fun!

Now work was crazy with everyone calling to see if we were getting out early and most not liking that we released at normal time but that didn't stop us from enjoying our snow day.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day was so fun for our family. We spent time with my mom always fun, then spending time with all our family was a joy and a blessing. Everyone who knows us knows our family dinner had tons of people over 50and our flag football game was so funny to watch along with our lovely cheerleaders on the sideline! We even had a section for our fans. You know we know how to go all out only us thats what happens when your in the country you have plenty of room for a football game. Now of course the trees in the middle of the field didn't even stop them except for one person who didn't remember the tree was there when he was trying to catch the ball. (Good Laugh). You know we couldn't just end with Thursday so Friday we decided to have a Fish Fry with women only (of course the kids) at my cousins it was fun with the four different generations just enjoying ourselves with my grandmother and the kids having fun.

Baskeball Season

Ok here we go its Baskeball Season once again! Practice start November 30th I though I was getting a break since Sierra has been all into Volleyball going to camps, etc. noway she is ready for B-ball so I guess we will be well rounded when it comes to sports. Last year to do little league basketball she is very excited though to be able to try out in Junior High next year. Plus one of her best friends who is in 7th grade made the team so will be going to some of those games also, ya I am so crazy!

AB Honor Roll

We are back to making the AB Honor Roll we had a rough 1st six weeks with the Math but it she is getting it and realizing that Middle School is a new ball game from Elementary. I think it sunk in that she would be pulled out of honors choir if she did not pass so the C from the first six week wasn't good enough. Then I had to deal with the drama of her first "C" she was upset for days but hey she knew what she had to do to get that grade up.
